"http://insidemovies.ew.com/2011/03/16/katherine-heigl-one-for-the-money-release/Still no official word as to when it will be coming out, but at least Lionsgate is talking. I'm sure trying to find a date to fit around all the actor's schedules for the press junkets, publicity, talk show interviews, etc... and trying to find an opening weekend where they are not competing with any mega hits so they have a very successful opening weekend would be significantly hard. Hopefully they can pull it all together and give us an actual date fairly soon, but at least this calms my fears that they are pulling it.
Lionsgate has pulled the Katherine Heigl comedy thriller One for the Money from its summer slate to an undetermined date this year. The film, based on the popular Janet Evanovich novels about bail bondswoman Stephanie Plum, had been moved from July 8 to June 3 earlier this month to keep it out of the way of Sony Pictures’ The Zookeeper and Warner Bros.’ Horrible Bosses (both comedies). The June date, however, placed the film against Fox’s superhero mega-prequel X-Men: First Class. “We just want to find the right home for [the film],” a Lionsgate rep tells EW, “and that [date] didn’t feel like it.”
What do you think guys? What do you predict will be their next release date?
Thanks so much anonymous tipster! You're the best!!
Greetings from Texas,
ReplyDeleteHow about St. Patrick's Day Weekend? That would work for me.
Hey Arthur,
ReplyDeleteHahaha! I think that release date would be just fine with me!!! And...I'm sure a whole lot of other people!!
Gonna have to go with Arthur on this one!!!!
ReplyDeleteReally--I am disappointed. I realize that they are trying to find the best time--and I want them too so that the movie does great but--
This was going to be my summer of Jason and now--
First they pull the One for the Money date and then they pull Terra Nova from the May premire to the fall--
MAJOR WITHDRAWALS HERE FOLKS!!
I also agree with Arthur for St. Patty's weekend!! My second choice would be Mother's Day weekend!!!
ReplyDeleteOk, I'm a little miffed about the whole thing. I'm glad that the movie hasn't been pulled altogether, but this "to-be-determined" release date crap is for the birds! Why didn't they work this all out earlier. Its their job to do that. Its not like those other blockbusters dates weren't already on the summer schedule. Posting a date, getting us excited, moving it forward & getting us even MORE excited and then pulling it until an "undetermined date this year" just sucks. I've been looking forward to this for so long & its very disappointing. I'm with Arthur & IheartJason on this one too!!
ReplyDeleteOk...thats its...finished my bitching...thank you for listening :)
Ah Redz---
ReplyDeleteI enjoy a good bitch!!
