Welcome

Welcome to my own little corner of cyberspace for all things Stephanie Plum and much, much more. I absolutely love - Okay, I'm completely obsessed with- Janet Evanovich's Stephanie Plum series. After diligent searching for anything Plum on the internet, I discovered that the Stephanie 411 was next to nil. So this is my own little contribution to the lingerie buyer turned bounty hunter world of Stephanie Plum whose lot in life is to choose between two blindingly delicious, strong, sexy men; escape the occasional car fire; and refrain from the temptations of a delectible boston creme donut threatening to widen her waistline.

Welcome to Stephanie's Obsession! Please Enjoy!

Interesting Controversial Subject Posted on IMDB

Hey guys,

I was over at IMDB, and I came across a post that Pattrose had mentioned reading over there talking about the sequels. I don't know if there is any truth to this info, but I would sure be disappointed if they started all over and recast for the next movie.

I don't want to fuel any rumors, so if anyone does have any info on if this is true or not, please feel free to inform us differently, but I thought this was worth a discussion on whether you think this would be a good idea or not.

I'm just going to give my opinion up front here. I would hate it if they changed up the characters now for the sequel. It would be so distracting to me to see different actors as the main characters, especially Stephanie. I think KH will do an excellent job, and I am really hoping this info is a fabrication.

Okay, here it is folks!  Feel free to discuss and throw in you input!

"One for the Money

Director: Julie Anne Robinson

Stars: Katherine Heigl, Jason O'Mara, Daniel Sunjata (Full Cast)

Studio: Lionsgate

The Plot: Unemployed and newly-divorced Stephanie Plum (Heigl) lands a job at her cousin's bail-bond business, where her first assignment puts her on the trail of a wanted local cop from her romantic past.

THE BUZZ: And for her next assignment, Stephanie Plum works to reveal exactly what happened to end the public's love affair with Katherine Heigl. Refitted for someone such as Rachel McAdams or Emma Stone, and the first novel in the popular series from writer Janet Evanovich could've marked the beginning of a movie franchise. That said, the budget has to be low here (most everyone involved are seasoned TV players, including director Julie Anne Robinson), so a scrappy box-office showing might greenlight Two for the Dough ..."

So what do you think? Thanks, Patt, for the info!

  1. Not sure I follow your last post. That has nothing to do with sequels - just someone writing about Katherine Heigl and basically saying they don't think the movie will do well because she is in it. Which is ridiculous and kinda mean spirited. Not sure why you would post it.

  2. Yea--
It could mean different things based on who is writing that article.
Was it posted by someone in the know or just someone who disagrees with the casting?
Seems like on imdb-there are more people who go on to complain. I mean there are still new posts from people saying who they want to play the parts--
And of course my take would be--
    NEVER REPLACE JASON!!!
    HA

  3. I meant nothing mean spirited by posting the article, and it could mean different things to different people. I took it as they might replace the cast and I absolutely don't want that to happen, especially KH. Those of you who read my blog know that I am a huge fan of KH. I just posted it on my blog because I wanted to know how everyone feels about the cast being rumored to be replaced, and if you read on down to my opinion, you would see that I am emphatically against it.
Now that I reread the article, I could see how you would take it as being mean spirited to KH, but that was not how I read it the first time. Sorry for the confusion and if I offended anyone. It was not my intent.

  4. LOL I agree with you Iheartjason! Never replace Jason! I also agree with you about IMDB. I do find some useful info on there from time to time, but it does seem like there are a lot of complainers and snippy people on there all the time. I stopped going there altogether for a time just because I was sick of all the negativity. But....I still need to check it every once in a while to make sure I am not missing any new news on the movie.

  5. What I got from the article was they don't think it's going to be a good movie and it pissed me off. Have they seen the movie? Good Lord, give them a chance before you start tearing them down. I'm talking to the people that wrote the article. Not you, S.O. LOL

  6. Hahaha..Ya, it does piss me off too that they think it is going to be a terrible movie. They need to give it a chance before they start ripping it to shreds! And just because there are TV actors playing the parts means nothing. A lot of good actors got their start on TV shows, i.e. George Clooney, Adam Sandler, Rob Schneider, etc.
